Cherries

Cherries are best consumed when locally grown and in season. The Pacific Northwest—led by Washington, Oregon, and California—produces the majority of the nation’s sweet cherry supply. Raw cherries have approximately ten grams of carbohydrates in ¾ cup. Cherries begin to absorb quickly in amounts exceeding 1½ cup.
