Hummus

Hummus should be made with locally grown chickpeas when available. Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are primarily grown in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Great Plains, with Montana, Washington, Idaho, California, and North Dakota leading production. Purchase organic chickpeas and hummus when possible, since chickpeas often contain glyphosate residues.

1/3 cup of hummus has 10 grams of carbohydrates and ¾ cup hummus has 20 grams of carbohydrates. If you stay within the recommended serving sizes and have good circadian biology, hummus is a slow absorbing carbohydrate source, which means it's good for fat loss.
