Hidden History
Hidden History is a timeline of buried patterns: the consolidation of power, the management of public perception, and the quiet systems of control woven into modern life. Taken together, these events suggest that what is presented as progress is often inseparable from manipulation, suppression, and design.
1870 - STANDARD OIL IS FOUNDED
John D. Rockefeller founded Standard Oil, which consolidated control of the oil industry by buying up infrastructure and forcing smaller refineries out of business.
1893– ARTIFICIAL LIGHT GOES PUBLIC
The 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago is widely recognized as the landmark event that introduced large-scale artificial electric lighting to the public.
1910 - THE FLEXNER REPORTThe 1910 Flexner Report, initially funded by Carnegie, triggered a major consolidation of medical education in the United States and Canada, leading to the closure of more than half of the 155 institutions. Once that shift began, Rockefeller philanthropy strongly reinforced it, in part because his business interests could fit more directly into the emerging medical sales funnel than the steel magnate’s. John D. Rockefeller saw Carnegie’s effort as a way to repay Teddy Roosevelt for breaking up Standard Oil by pushing the U.S. government toward bankruptcy. He then trained his sons to carry that strategy forward.
1911 THE BREAKUP OF STANDARD OIL1911 — The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the breakup of Standard Oil under the Sherman Antitrust Act, splitting the trust into 34 companies.
1928- EDWARD BERNAYS WRITES “PROPAGANDA”Edward Bernays published Propaganda, applying social science and psychological manipulation to the study of mass communication and public influence. Bernays argued that unseen elites shape public thought and behavior, making the “engineering of consent” central to modern democracy.
1928 - PENICILLIN WAS DISCOVEREDPenicillin was discovered by Alexander Fleming at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, helping launch the antibiotic era and accelerating the shift toward a pharmacological model of medicine.
1945 - THE CREATION OF LAS VEGASAmerican mobster Bugsy Siegel helped shape the early Las Vegas Strip through his takeover of the Flamingo project. In 1945, he became involved in the construction of the hotel-casino on the outskirts of Las Vegas, and the Flamingo opened in 1946. Casinos were specifically designed to keep people disoriented, overstimulated, and spending. There are no windows, so you lose track of circadian time and disconnect from the outside world. The bright blue lighting keeps the environment feeling artificial and constant, while cheap alcohol lowers inhibitions and makes people easier to manipulate. Add in attractive servers, constant Wi‑Fi and electromagnetic exposure, and a space built to keep you plugged in and distracted, and the result is the same: all of it is meant to keep you there longer and get you to spend more money. None of it was accidental — it’s by design.
1953 – THE DISCOVERY OF DNAIn a 1953 Nature article, Watson and Crick discovered the twisted-ladder structure of DNA.
1953 - MKULTRA BEGAN
MK Ultra was an illegal CIA human experimentation program focused on behavior control through nonconsensual drugging, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, electroshock, and other abusive methods. MKUltra used a range of methods to alter subjects’ mental states and behavior, including nonconsensual drugging, electroshock, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, and other forms of abuse and torture.
1955 – THE CUTTER INCIDENTAlton Ochsner, an American surgeon and medical researcher injected his grandchildren with a polio vaccine to demonstrate its safety. However, both grandchildren contracted polio as a result: his grandson died, and his granddaughter was left paralyzed. They were two of approximately 120,000 children who received improperly manufactured polio vaccine doses from Cutter Laboratories, an incident that led to about 40,000 cases of polio, spread the disease to family and community members, and resulted in hundreds of cases of paralysis and ten known deaths.
1955 -BERNICE EDDY IDENTIFIED DEFECTIVE POLIO VACCINE BATCHESIn 1955, Bernice Eddy identified defective batches of Cutter Laboratories’ polio vaccine and tried to delay the release of Salk’s vaccine, but her warnings were ignored. In 1957, she and Sarah Stewart discovered polyoma, a virus linked to cancer.
1957 – THE VIRUS THAT CAUSED TUMORSSarah Stewart and Bernice Eddy helped launch a new era of cancer research by demonstrating that viruses could cause cancer. Their work showed that the virus produced 20 types of mouse tumors and could also trigger tumors in other small mammals. At Eddy’s suggestion, it was named polyoma, meaning “many tumors,” and became known as the SE (Stewart–Eddy) polyomavirus.
1960 – SILENCING THE SCIENTISTBernice Eddy defied NIH restrictions and spoke at a New York Academy of Sciences conference, warning that monkey kidney cells used in polio vaccine production contained a hidden virus (simian virus SV40) linked to tumors in laboratory animals. Fearing public panic and a collapse in trust, her superiors at the NIH ordered her to stay silent and blocked her from presenting her findings. In that sense, she became one of the first scientists to be effectively canceled for challenging the official narrative.
1963 – THE REMOTE-CONTROL BULLSpanish physiologist José Delgado specialized in electrical brain stimulation. In 1963, he implanted a wireless device into several bulls at a ranch in Córdoba, Spain, and demonstrated remote control over a charging bull using radio signals sent to electrodes in its brain.
1976 - CHURCH COMMITTEE CONFIRMS CIA TIES TO ABOUT 50 JOURNALISTS
The Church Committee confirmed that the CIA maintained covert relationships with approximately 50 American journalists or employees of U.S. media organizations.
1977 – ROBERT O. BECKER ON 60 MINUTES
Dr. Robert O. Becker appeared on 60 Minutes to warn that electromagnetic fields from power lines and other electrical infrastructure could pose serious health risks. His research in the 1960s and 1970s made him a leading public critic of overhead power cables and high-voltage transmission lines.
1977 - JOURNALIST CARL BERNSTEIN CLAIMS OVER 400 CIA-TIED JOURNALISTS
Follow-up: In 1977, journalist Carl Bernstein published a Rolling Stone article expanding on these findings, arguing that the relationship was far more extensive and involved more than 400 journalists.
1996 – CARBONE LINKS SV-40 TO HUMAN CANCERIn 1996, Dr. Michele Carbone reported finding SV40 in one-third of the osteosarcomas he examined and in nearly half of the other bone tumors he tested, results later echoed by multiple laboratories. Since 1994, he has published more than twenty studies and reviews exploring SV40’s connection to human cancer, arguing that the virus is a human carcinogen and not something anyone would want in the body.
2001: PATTENT FOR NERVOUS STIMULATION OF nnEMF APPROVEDThe invention concerns stimulating the human nervous system through an electromagnetic field applied externally to the body. Wiener (1958) also noted that external electric fields may produce neurological effects, including the clustering of brain waves through nonlinear interactions.
2023 - INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULB BANIn 2023, incandescent bulbs were banned as LEDs took over. Incandescent bulbs give off red and violet light that help balance the spectrum, while LEDs emit an unbalanced, artificial light.
2025 - SV40 SEQUENCES REPORTED IN COVID VIALS
In September 2025, a study in Autoimmunity by Speicher, Rose, McKernan, and colleagues , identified SV40 promoter sequences in Pfizer vials, reported that residual DNA in Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine vials exceeded FDA and WHO limits, and suggested a possible correlation between elevated DNA levels and reported serious adverse events.
