Lentils
Locally grown lentils are preferable, although they may be difficult to find in some areas. In the United States, lentils are primarily grown in Montana, North Dakota, Washington, and Idaho. Choose organic lentils when possible, since conventionally grown lentils are often sprayed with glyphosate, such as Roundup, shortly before harvest. Lentil production is very limited in places like New York.
A half cup cooked lentils has approximately 10 grams of carbohydrates and ¾ cup has 20 grams of carbohydrates.
Fat Loss Rating: Lentils are great for fat loss if you have proper circadian biology.
